This transformation of an existing small kitchen to the rear of the home provided the family with modern, bright open-plan living space.
Staring with the structure, we removed the existing back wall and windows before constructing a highly insulated pitch roof, complete with modern Velux® windows to bathe the new space in natural light. The the rear, we created a stunning patio space before installing stunning full-height triple-glazed doors. With the doors fully open, the new living space flows seamlessly into the outdoor area, flooding the kitchen with fresh air and sunlight. The interior was finished meticulously using stunning porcelain tiles along with some lovely architectural features such as the recessed bookcase. The lighting was chosen to set off the beautiful new kitchen with a mix of stunning vintage fittings and super-modern recessed spots.
This new living space promotes modern, integrated family living where the kids spend quality time the parents while dinner is being cooked, not hidden away in another room glued to the x-box!
